Standard A: Professional Responsibilities
Standard A for quality online teachers describes the teacher's professional responsibilities. It states that "The online teacher is a reflective practitioner"(NSQ A2). I demonstrated this standard through my Online Lesson Reflection. In this reflection, I reflected on what aspects of the lesson went well, what challenges arose through the lesson, and how I might change my methods for a future lesson.

Standard B: Digital Pedagogy
For the standard related to digital pedagogy, I demonstrated my ability to troubleshoot technical issues and address them during the online lesson that I taped, when not finding the correct unit on the class canvas page on 1/30/24, by restarting the screen share to share audio on 2/20/24, and how I demonstrated to students the use of ctrl + V for pasting into Google Jamboard since traditional paste method does not work on 2/27/24. This Standard states, "The online teacher demonstrates basic troubleshooting skills and addresses basic technical issues as they arise" (NSQ B4).

|
Standard C: community building
I created a Jamboard for student collaboration demonstrating the NSQ Standard C4. The Standard states, "The online teacher promotes learner-learner interaction in online groups in order to foster collaboration and promote higher-order thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis, and/or evaluation" (NSQ C4). Students contributed memes, written responses, and pictures to the Jamboard and moved them around based on whether the students thought they were examples of persona or personification. Then, there was a brief discussion about the examples.

Standard D: Learner Engagement
The standard for learner engagement NSQ D4 states, "The online teacher establishes relationships through timely and encouraging communication, using various formats." During the online lesson, I was responsive to student participation both verbally and in the Zoom chat. I also demonstrated this standard during the Jamboard activity. I instructed students on how to add their responses to the Jamboard when there were questions. I also responded to students' oral communication and their responses on the board.

StandARD e: dIGITAL CITIZENSHIP
The online teaching standard of digital citizenship E1 states, "The online teacher facilitates learning experiences that model and promote digital citizenship. " I created a learning unit for students to engage with on Internet Safety. The unit explores topics such as creating safe passwords, keeping personal information safe, and preventing/addressing cyberbullying.

sTANDARD F: DIVERSE INSTRUCTION
The Edpuzzle that I created demonstrated the standard of diverse instruction. Students were given the opportunity to learn using an Edpuzzle for asynchronous work at their own pace. This provided student the opportunity for additional learning. NSQ Standard F6 states, "The online teacher provides additional opportunities for personalized learner growth or enrichment". This Edpuzzle provided students an additional opportunity to learn about the events that lead to the end of the Civil War.

sTANDARD G: ASSESSMENT AND MEASUREMENT
|
For Standard G, assessment and measurement, I created a Jeopardy game for students to review English content before a test. NSQ Standard G8 states, "The online teacher creates opportunities for learner self-assessment within courses". Students were able to use the Jeopardy game to self-assess areas that they needed additional review of before their English test.
|
Standard H: Instructional Design
To support students' asynchronous work on a major project, I created tutorials for creating a Google Slides presentation and a Powerpoint presentation. These tutorials were created for 5th Grade ELA students for reference during their individual work time. This demonstrated that I am "able to incorporate subject-specific and developmentally appropriate digital learning resources into online learning modules (NSQ H4).
